There has been a big change in the traffic system in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, from today. Along with improving traffic system, the administration has started a new initiative to prevent road accidents. The road from the first day of Navratri to VIP Chowk to the airport has been made one way from today. Due to the one-way of the Central Road, about 9 km long, people will get relief from the jam, along with the accidents will also be stopped.
According to the information, now only the airport and Nawa will be able to go towards Raipur through this route. At the same time, it will not be allowed to return from this road to the city. Those who want to return to VIP Chowk from the airport will have to use the service road. This new traffic rule has come into effect from Monday. Traffic police said that people will be explained for a few days to give information about the new system, after which action will be taken.
Decision was taken in the meeting of District Road Security Committee
On September 10, it was decided to declare VIP Road a oneway and ban the movement of other vehicles in the meeting of the District Road Security Committee. After this, the team of Municipal Corporation, Transport and Traffic Police inspected the VIP Road. People will use it to reach the airport early.
Service road for the city
People coming to the city from Mana Airport, Village Fundhar, Temri and Mana PTS will be able to travel using service road. Apart from the Sri Ram temple turning from the airport, other destinations will run from the service road.

To prevent entry into the middle road from Mana Airport Entrance Marg, Mana PTS Chowk, Village Temari, Village Fundhar Chowk, Maulashree Vihar, these places have been installed in the middle road. E-challan action will be taken through this.
Indicator boards will be installed at the necessary places, giving information about the one-way of VIP Road and not entering the middle route to those who come back. Action will be taken under the sections of the Motor Vehicle Act for violating the one-way. 2500 rupees Will be fined.
There are three routes in VIP Road
There are 3 routes from the front of Shriram Temple to Nawa Raipur and Airport Entrance Marg in Mana VIP route going to Mana Airport. There is a middle route and one service road on both sides. For those going to the airport, there is a service road for those traveling in hotels, marriage palaces and other institutions on both sides of the road.
Mana Airport, Hotel, Marriage Palace and other institutions, villages use the middle route moving from villages, which has increased traffic pressure in the middle route. Road accidents have increased due to overtake and speed.
Airport road was built on one-way concept 7 years ago
The road from VIP Tiraha to Mana Airport was the first single lane. Vehicles used to come from both sides on the same road. The Raman government decided to widen the road, but the condition was that the roadside trees would not be cut. Then it was planned to widen without cutting trees.
Three roads were built in it. 10 meter wide main road in the middle and 7-7 meters of service road on both sides. At the time of planning, it was decided that the Central Road would be kept one-way, so that people could reach the airport soon.
Parking was banned on the service road and traders were conditioned to make their parking across the drainage. There was a proposal to build an underpass at Fundhar, Tekri Chowk, PTS Chowk, which has not been completed yet. It was also decided not to keep the divider open anywhere.
16 people have died, 59 injured
At present, vehicles from both sides had to travel in the middle part of the VIP Road. Vehicles were more speed. Due to this, the number of road accidents has increased rapidly. In the last 20 months, there have been 55 road accidents on this route. Suppose and cases registered at Telibandha police station16 people have died in these road accidents. 59 people have also been injured.
Police appeal
SSP Dr. Lal has appealed to citizens using the VIP route to use the middle road to go to the airport. Use the service road to return to the city. Police action may be faced when coming from the middle road towards the city. Please return from the service road itself.
Provision of fine also
According to the traffic police, even after giving an illusion, if a driver ignores the rules, then he will be fined. If a driver comes from the main road towards the city, he will have to pay a fine ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000.
Sign boards have been installed
Giving information about the new rule, the traffic police said that sign boards have been installed on VIP Road to go towards the airport and Nawa Raipur so that people do not face problems. People have been appealed to use the service road instead of the main road while returning to the city. To inform people about this, it has also been planned to deploy additional traffic staff at the designated places.
Parking was banned
Parking has been banned on the service road. Please tell that recently there were many accidents on this road. Due to heavy traffic, people were also caught driving on the Rogue side. Due to which there was a long jam. Now this decision has been taken to get rid of people’s safety and jam.
