The Jane Z group on Saturday demanded the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the then Home Minister Ramesh writer over the alleged role in firing during the anti-government firing. 19 people were killed in this firing. Bushla also demanded the formation of a high-level inquiry commission to investigate the property of all highly placed leaders and government officials since 1990. Apart from this, the activists of Jane Z staged a sit -in demanding the arrest of Oli and the author in the Maitghar Mandla near the Singh Darbar Secretariat here. It was from here that he started his protest rally on September 8.

At least 72 people, including three policemen, were killed during the violent protests on September 8 and 9 against the alleged corruption and the ban on social media website. On Friday, former Prime Minister Oli denied that he had ordered a firing during the performance of Jane Z. He said that the protesters were fired with automatic guns, which were not with the police. Oli demanded an inquiry into the case.

In his first public statement after resigning as Prime Minister, Nepal Communist Party (Integrated Marxist-Leninist) president Oli held the intruders responsible for the violence during a peaceful protests by Jane-Z. Oli (73) said in a message issued on the occasion of Constitution Day, the government had not ordered the protesters to shoot.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut said on Saturday that the apex court has not issued an order to ban the social media website. He said that the Supreme Court had urged the government to make necessary laws and regulate the social media website, which is a common international practice.

The previous government -led government led by Oli banned 26 social media site, citing the Supreme Court order, which was opposed by the Jane Z group on September 8.
