Allegations and counter-allegations are going on between political parties regarding special intensive revision of the voter list. SIR is not a new prohibition. This has been done earlier also. After the partition of Madhya Pradesh, a special intense revision of the first assembly election in Chhattisgarh was done in a special intense revision of the former voter list.

Bastar district has 783 polling stations and so much booth level officers who will do this work. The district has more than six and a half lakh voters.
On discussing with some old employees working in the district election office, he said that SIR is a normal process and has already been done. There are two proceeds for revision of the voter list. Special intensive revision means SIR and second special brief revision. Special intensive revision was done in 2003.
After this, the voter list has been updated every year and especially before the Assembly, Lok Sabha elections by running a special brief revision campaign. Under this, adding names, deletion, converting residence address etc. are done.
In special intensive revision, one voter is a renewed. With this wrong information, those who add names to the voter list will be out. According to the retired employees-officers who have worked for a long time in the election office, there should be SIR once in five years.
The list of 2003 and 2025 will be investigated
It was informed that the voter list of 2003 and 2025 will be examined in SIR. The BLO has been given a form in the training. In which the list of such voters whose names are in both voter list will be prepared. Voters whose names are in the 2025 voter list but not in the 2003 list will be identified.
The list of such voters whose parents are included in the 2003 list will also be prepared in the list of 2025. There is no problem with such voters, they will verify them after preparing the BLO list. Voters who are connected after 2003 and their parents are not in the old list, they have to submit the documents required to be residents and establish their identity.
