There is good news for the railway passengers of Chhattisgarh. From Raipur to Naya Raipur, a new Memu (MEMU) special train will run from today. This train was flagged off from Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai Rajim. Today the Raipur-Rajim-Raipur MEMU passenger train (68766/68767) has started. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai flagged off the train. South East Central Railway decided to start a new rail service keeping in mind the convenience of passengers.
With the introduction of this train, connectivity between Raipur and Nawa Raipur will be stronger. According to railway officials, the train will run from Raipur to Mandir Hansoud, CBD, Kendri, Abhanpur, Manik Chauri and Rajim.
This train will run from both sides every day. Which will make it easier to visit Rajim and Raipur. There will be a journey in one and a half hours. According to railway officials, 2 thousand people travel daily from Rajim from Raipur. Two and a half million people of this area will get the benefit. They will get relief from the start of the train. This railway project is worth 1500 crores.
Travelers going from Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, are going to get the facility of the train. Raipur-Rajim-Raipur Memu Passenger will inaugurate the new service today from Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai Rajim railway station at 12 noon. Passengers were demanding the facility of MEMU train on this route for a long time.

With the running of this train, people going to Kuleshwar Mahadev of Rajim and Rajiv Lochan Temple from all over the state including Raipur will benefit. Also, people will be able to join the major religious, cultural and tourist places. Extension of this train
According to information received from Raipur Railway Division of South East Central Railway, the operation of Raipur-Abhanpur-Raipur MEMU passenger train operated between Raipur and Abhanpur is now being expanded to Rajim. From 19 September 2025, according to the regular time table, train number 68766/68767 Raipur-Rajim-Raipur Memu Passenger will operate from both ends daily-Rajim and Raipur. This train will have a total of 08 coaches including 06 general category coaches and 02 Powerkar.
Everyday will run in two rounds
The new Memu train will make two rounds daily. This will provide great relief to the passengers living in Raipur-Nawan Raipur and nearby villages, towns.
Fare will be only 10 rupees
Currently, the passenger fare from Raipur to Nawa Raipur is from 30 to 40 rupees, but on traveling in the new train, passengers will have to pay only 10 rupees fare. This will greatly benefit those who up and down daily.
Currently two MEMU trains are already running between Raipur to Abhanpur. Now, with the introduction of the new train, passengers will get more facilities.
