55 Muslim countries against Israel, but 2 neighbors have done Qatar’s game

At the joint emergency conference of the Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) called on Monday in Doha, the capital of Qatar, leaders of 55 Muslim countries united and strongly condemned Israel’s recent action.

Big players like Pakistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia attended the meeting. All together accused Israel of attack and expressed solidarity with Qatar. But in this historic meeting, the cool response of two important neighbors of Qatar-UAE and Bahrain shocked everyone.

Anger raging from Israeli attack

Last week, Israel made about 10 aerial attacks in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Senior Hamas leaders, who were allegedly discussing the Gaza ceasefire proposal, were targeted. At least six people died in this attack. Resentment emerged in Arab and Muslim countries about this. At the conference, the leaders called it unprecedented aggression and said that the attack on Qatar is like challenging the entire Muslim world.

55 countries united, but two silence

The 55 Muslim countries involved in the meeting warned Israel that such attacks will not only endanger regional peace, but can also further enrase. Countries like Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia openly supported Qatar from the stage. However, instead of sending their supreme leaders, UAE and Bahrain sent only minor representatives. Despite being a neighbor, his distance is being considered a big setback for Qatar.

But why so?

In fact, since the Abraham agreement with Israel, the relationship between the two countries has become openly normal. In such a situation, he is seen avoiding standing against Israel. Qatar has been trying to tell himself the strong face of the Muslim world in regional politics for a long time. But half-incomplete support of his own neighbors can push his image.
