How did the incident happen
Constable Rajesh Panwar, Patrol Officer Uni at around 3 pm on Sunday night. Rajni Rawat, along with constable Shivkant, was on patrol in the police station area. When the constable reached Baragaon Bhila Road with a private bike with Shivkant, four youths appeared on two bikes from the front.
Refusal to tell name and address, started abusing
The constable asked the reason for the late night to stop both the bikes. The four youths refused to name the name and address. He was drunk and there was a strong odor of alcohol from his mouth. While abusing, he said – “Who are you to check us.” When the policemen introduced themselves and gave information about duty, the four started jumping from them.
Uniform torn, slap, attack on rescue
According to constable Panwar, two youths grabbed his collar and tore the uniform and slapped. When constable Shivkant Beach came to rescue, the remaining two youths also started scuffle with them. In this way, the four abused and assaulted the government work while patrolling duty.
Even after reaching the police force
On receiving the information, patrol officer Rajni Rawat, R. Mukkeshwar and driver Sanjay reached the spot. All four also misbehaved with him. After this, the accused were detained by making Panchaon Aamir resident Imlipura passing through the spot.
Names of accused
According to the police, the names of the accused are as follows –
- Yuvraj (19) son Narendra Bhalna resident Ashok Nagar
- Vishal (21) son Shyam Yadav resident Dinayalpuram Colony Chhindwara
- Anant (22) son Krishnakant Sohani resident Vidya Nagar Lalchauki Khandwa
- Bharat Putra Hira Bedwal resident Chidiya Maidan Khandwa
- According to the complainant, Yuvraj and Vishal Yadav beat him up and torn the uniform, while Anant and Bharat scrambled with constable Shivkant.
Arrested and filed a case
Khandwa CSV Abhinav Baranga told that The police have registered a case against the four under various sections and arrested them.
