According to the information, Gaurav Mahajan, a resident of Bhusaval, was returning from Ludhiana from Ludhiana on 9 September with wife Raveena and mother. When Gaurav woke up near Itarsi station, he saw that the wife was missing from the train. After this, a missing person was lodged at GRP Itarsi police station.
On the instructions of Railway Superintendent of Police Rahul Kumar Lodha, a team was formed under the leadership of police station in -charge Sanjay Chowkse. The team searched more than 75 CCTV cameras from Itarsi, Bhopal and Ujjain stations. It was found that Raveena got off the train at Itarsi station and reached Gujarat via Bhopal-Ujjain.
12 million ransom
On September 12, a message came on the mobile of Raveena’s Jeth Saurabh Mahajan, in which a ransom of Rs 12 lakh was sought with a picture of Raveena’s hostage. This message was sent from Raveena’s mobile. On September 13, the police found Raveena from a poultry farm in Amarpur village in Chhota Udaipur district of Gujarat. During interrogation, Raveena confessed that she hatched this conspiracy to harass her in -laws and to make money. Police registered a crime and arrested Raveena on 14 September.
