There was a dispute over the effort to convert on Sunday in Padmanabhpur police station area of Durg. It is alleged that an attempt was being made to convert during a prayer meeting in a house. As soon as the information was received, the people of the Hinduist organization reached there and started protesting. Meanwhile, some people of the Christian community also reached there from outside and a situation of dispute was created.
Both sides also had a fight and assault. During this time, some women who came to protest were torn. The police, who reached the spot, somehow separated the two sides and filed an FIR against both sides.
According to the information, a prayer meeting was being held by the Christian community in a house near Kalibari in Padmanabhpur. It is alleged that during this time an attempt was being made to convert there. This was opposed by Hinduist organizations. After this, some youths including Christian Council of Church President M. Jonathan reached there and the dispute started.
The police registered a case by taking both sides to the police station. After this, the Christian community and other people of the Hinduist organization also reached the Pulgaon police station premises to register protests.

Ratan Yadav, Provincial Convenor, Bajrang Dal says that “the private house was illegally made a church and attempts were being made to convert. On protesting, women’s clothes were tore.”
B. Swami Nadulu, Bishop Durg says that “a peaceful prayer meeting was organized in the church. Some people protested and started fighting.”
The police have initiated action against M. Jonathan and others on the complaint of M. Jonathan and others on the complaint of sections 299, 296, 115, 351 BNS and Christian community and registered an FIR under sections 298, 115, 351 BNS against unknown people.
