New systems have been added to the train going from New Delhi to Gwalior in the country’s first century express status. This train has now been equipped with new automatic doors, which will reduce accidents. This will also protect people’s journey.
The train going from New Delhi to Gwalior of the country’s first Shatabdi Express has been equipped with new automatic doors from Bhopal’s Rani Kamalapati station. The doors are now connected to the emergency button and vacuum locking system. The doors of the train will be closed as soon as the speed is caught. When the train arrives at the next station platform or stops in the outer, then the gates of the train will be able to open. For this, no change has been made in the rack of the train, only the doors have been replaced and a new system has been installed in them.
Accidents will stop with new systems
In fact, the reservation system in Shatabdi Express is such that most seats booked between one station to another are allotted in the same coach. In such a situation, a crowd of passengers gather to land at the station. Many passengers used to open the door before coming to the platform in the face of early landing and fell victim to accidents. New arrangements are being made to prevent such incidents. A similar arrangement is also in the Gatiman Express going from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi station via Gwalior.
Since both these trains operate with the same rack, the Shatabdi Express has also been linked to this system after motion on this route. Public Relations Officer of Railway Division Jhansi Manoj Kumar Singh says that this change will also keep the journey safe and the possibility of accident will be reduced.
Control with loco pilot, gates towards platform will open
The control of these doors is kept near the loco pilot and the guard. It has also been ensured that when the train reaches a station, only the doors of the same direction will open on which the platform will remain. The doors of the other direction cannot be opened without the wishes of the loco pilot. This can also prevent unnecessary entry into these luxury trains.
Base kitchen shift, time to eat time also changed
There has also been a change in the time of dinner of passengers traveling in Shatabdi Express. Earlier, the base kitchen of this train was in Gwalior and food was sent from here to the train. In such a situation, passengers were served food after passing the Jhansi station at around 11:30. Now the base kitchen has been shifted to Jhansi itself. In such a situation, the passengers are now served food after passing Lalitpur at around 12:30. While returning from Bhopal, food is started after passing the train from Gwalior station.
