According to the information, the navigation equipment, which played an important role in the landing of the aircraft, deteriorated due to lightning. Due to this, five flights to land Raipur had to be diverted from 7.30 pm. Indigo flight coming from Delhi to Raipur had a total of 170 passengers, most of whom were residents of Raipur. Durg MP Vijay Baghel and senior IAS officer Sonmani Bora were also present in this flight. This flight is being sent from Bhopal to Delhi.

However, an Air India flight flew away from here. Meteorologist Dr. Gayatri Vani said that aerodrum warning was issued twice at 12 o’clock in the day and five o’clock in the evening. In the evening, there was also a warning of lightning in the airport and surrounding areas. The aerodrome warning included an area up to 150 nautical miles. Under this warning, the operation of aircraft was considered dangerous. Meteorologist Dr. Gayatri Vani said that in the evening there was a warning of lightning in the airport and surrounding areas.
