Solar Energy Policy and Industrial Policy… Cabinet’s big decisions chaired by CM Vishnu Dev Sai

A cabinet meeting was called at the Ministry Mahanadi Bhavan today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, in which many important decisions were taken. The Council of Ministers has taken an important decision to honor his wife Sneha Girpunje to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police in the State Police Service, honoring the martyrdom and indomitable valor of martyr Additional Superintendent of Police Akash Rao Girpuje during the anti -Naxal campaign in Sukma district. On 9 June 2025, Akash Rao Girpunje was martyred in the bomb blast incident.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers approved the proposal of necessary amendment in the solar power policy of the state to reduce the dependence of traditional energy sources and to encourage non -traditional sources of energy production. Other decisions are as follows-

Solar energy policy and industry policy

  • Period of Policy – According to the new system, this revised policy will now be applicable till 2030, or until the state government issues a new solar power policy.
  • Benefits to industries – Solar power projects will now get priority industry status under the state’s industrial policy.
  • Under this, investors will get many types of concessions and encouragement, such as interest grant, grant at capital costs (micro -industries), GST reimbursement (small, medium and big industries), electricity fee exemption, exemption in stamp duty, grant on project report, grant for preparing land use, exemption in fees for land use, lends of land from land, land banks will get a least, Scheduled Castes/Tribes, Scheduled Castes/Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Citizens, Senior Citizens and Truth Committee on land Provision has been made for remission in premium, grant for providing employment to the disabled, special package for mega and ultra mega projects.
  • Taking important decisions in the meeting of the Council of Ministers, the proposal has been approved to appoint Rita Shandilya, who is currently working as a member and executive chairman of the Public Service Commission, to the post of Chairman of the Public Service Commission.
  • In the meeting of the Council of Ministers, an important decision was taken to increase the honor amount given to the retired media personnel from 10 thousand rupees per month to 20 thousand rupees per month. It was announced in the budget of 2025-26.
