Five and a half thousand trees will be cut from the forest for Eastern Ring Road in Indore

5500 trees will be harvested for the construction of Eastern Ring Road in Indore. This road will be 77 km long and will include 50 hectares of forest area. NHAI has started the survey for this project and the land acquisition process will be started soon. The time of 40 months has been fixed to complete this project.

The survey has intensified regarding the eastern ring road connecting Ujjain before Simhastha. The route will be found for this 77 km long route, which includes 50 hectares of forest area. 5500 trees installed here are being identified. These trees will be sacrificed for this route coming out of the forest area. According to officials, the land of Tillore and Pathan Piplia forest area coming to Indore forest division is coming in the survey. After the completion of the survey, a proposal will be prepared for the forest land acquisition for the route.

A road will be built between Dakchaya to Pithampur for Eastern Outer Ring Road. Four thousand crore rupees will be spent on construction work. The state government has entrusted the responsibility of building the road to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The road will be found through 38 villages, but the process of marking the land is still going on. The special thing is that priority has been kept in removing the route from government land instead of private.

Road will be built in two parts

Eastern Ring Road will be built from Dakachya to Pithampur. The route will pass through a total of 38 villages, including major villages such as Kampel, Khudail, Tillor, Bargonda and Pithampur. The special thing is that priority is being given to government land to build roads, so that private land acquisition has to be minimized. According to officials, the road will be built in two parts. The first part will be about 38 kilometers and the second part will be 39 kilometers.

40 months deadline

The government has also set a time limit for this ambitious project. The road is to be fully prepared before March 2028. A total of 40 months have been fixed for construction work. Currently, the project is yet to work like survey, land acquisition, design and construction agency.

  • 9640 trees have been cut for the Indore-Khandwa-Edalabad road. 78 hectares of forest land of Indore and Barwah Van Division has come.
  • In the western ringroad, 48 hectares of forest land is being drawn, in which five thousand trees will be cut.
  • Mhow-Khandwa gauge change is being done. More than 1.5 lakh trees will be cut from the forest land.

Land-tree is yet to be marked

NHAI project director Praveen Yadav says that the survey is going on these days regarding the project. Land and trees are being marked. As soon as the survey is completed, we will make a proposal for the forest land, while the revenue will start the process of acquisition on land. They say that the Eastern Ring Road will not only reduce traffic pressure, but will also establish a direct and sharp connectivity between the industrial area Pithampur and the religious city Ujjain.
