According to the information, the accused reached the hotel on Jail Road. There he threatened some people and said that Navya Malik, arrested in the drugs case, has taken her name. If you want to avoid action, you will have to pay five lakh rupees. The hotel management immediately informed the senior police officers. After examining the CCTV footage, the police arrested the accused.
During the search of the accused’s house and vehicle, a large amount of notes bundles, documents related to the police station, siren car, police duty chart, patrol point and ACB-EOW fake I card have been recovered. Investigation of his mobile is also going on. At present, the old Basti police station is investigating the entire case.
The accused used to sit in police stations
Police said that Ashish Ghosh used to sit in Kotwali, then Telibandha and recently Ganj police station. He used to talk to the complainants coming to the police stations. It was his common job to roam and patrol police vehicles. On 31 August, he tried to recover by becoming a soldier of Crime Branch ‘Ashish Rajput’.

The accused was befriended by many big police officers of the state. He used to come and go to their homes and also roamed in their trains. It is alleged that he also got the posting of many soldiers-hallmarks and recovery of huge amount in lieu of it.
In the crime branch, some soldiers also used to recover from every month. He used to blackmail him for not giving money. Fear used to show that the crime would remove from the branch, he has access to high officials. The soldiers used to give him money every month after fear.
Police engaged in conservation investigation
SSP Dr. Lal Umed Singh said that the accused had the protection, how the government documents reached him and which officials had relations with him, it is being investigated. Departmental action will also be taken if found guilty.
