Opposition of American messenger in Lebanon… People took to the streets, then had to cancel the journey

There are continuous demonstrations against the American leaders in the southern Lebanon. After the comments made by Trump’s special messenger on Arab journalists, anger has increased against him in the entire Lebanon. Due to these protests, the American delegation has to cancel its visit to Tire and Khaiam. People participating in the demonstration are angry with the statements of American messenger Tom Barrack in which they called Arab journalists rude.

On Tuesday, American messenger from Rashtrapati Bhavan, Tom Barrack made derogatory remarks against journalists present there. He said, “We are going to implement separate rules here. I want you to be silent for a moment,” and threatened, “When things will become chaotic and behavior will become animals, we will go.”

He said, “If you want to know what is happening, then work in civilized, kind and tolerant, because whatever is happening in this area, this is the problem.” His statements have been seen as an insult in the entire Lebanon and Arab world.

The journey had to be canceled after demonstrations

The people of the southern Lebanon, especially the people from the border villages, organized a protest in the southern city of Khiam, condemning American support for Israeli attacks and American intervention in the internal affairs of Lebanon. The protest took place when the US delegation was going to visit the southern part of the country today.

Those who took part in the demonstrations rejected and raised slogans against Lebanon and his people. At the same time, people confirmed their commitment to maintain the sovereignty of the country and emphasized the need to prevent Israel’s attacks and American intervention in their country.

Emphasis on rescuing Hizbullah’s weapon

The American delegation is pressurizing Hizbullah to insert arms in Lebanon. Speaking from Lebanon on Tuesday, Congress member Jean Shaheen indicated that he has not come here to discuss what Israel has done and what will do, he emphasized that ‘Lakshya Hizbullah has to be disproportionate.’ Whereas Hizbullah says that he will not put weapons without the end of Israeli occupation.
