Khajrana Ganesh Temple of Indore has become an important center of religious tourism. The number of devotees in this temple, established in 1735 by Goddess Ahilyabai Holkar, is continuously increasing. The grandeur, religious importance and modern facilities of the temple make it attractive to the tourists of the country and abroad.

Khajrana Ganesh Temple of Indore, located between Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga on the Narmada coast and Baba Mahakal in Ujjain, has become an important center of religious tourism. Ganesh Chaturthi, New Year and other major occasions come here to visit lakhs of devotees. The grandeur, religious importance and modern facilities of the temple make it attractive to the tourists of the country and abroad.

Once every three months, donations are opened, silver coins as well as dollars and euros-such as currencies, which show the popularity of this temple. The number of devotees in this temple, established in 1735 by Goddess Ahilyabai Holkar, is continuously increasing.

On special occasions, Lord Ganesha, Riddhi-Siddhi and auspicious benefits are decorated with gold jewelery worth about two and a half crores. The outer walls of the sanctum sanctorum are silver, on which various festivals are depicted. There are 33 small and big temples in the temple complex, including temples of many deities including Lord Rama, Shiva, Maa Durga, Sai Baba, Pawanaputra Hanuman. There is also an ancient peepal tree, which is considered to be fulfilling wishes. In view of the increasing number of devotees, the temple administration has taken several steps to further improve the arrangements.

Extension of temple complex

The temple complex is being expanded from 8.5 acres to 26.5 acres. This expansion includes facilities such as the new pavilion, clock room, grain area, shady trees, rotary and convenient parking in this expansion. According to priest Jaydev Bhatt, the expansion of the temple has been approved, so that devotees from all over the country and abroad can come to see God.

To make the philosophy system smooth on special occasions, arranges for jigjag ralling and stepping have been made, so that about five thousand devotees can visit in just 20 minutes. Ramp facility is also available. Kidney patients along with grain are provided medicines to children suffering from help and thalassemia.
