Chhattisgarh Pavilion became the center of attraction on the very first day of the World Expo 2025 held in Osaka (Japan). On the inauguration day, more than 22 thousand spectators reached here and experienced a unique glimpse of Chhattisgarh’s legacy, industry and tourism. Chhattisgarh is playing its active participation under the India Pavilion from 24 to 30 August 2025 on the invitation of the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Government of India. Today this grand pavilion was duly launched. The natural identity of Chhattisgarh, Chitrakote Falls also caught everyone’s attention. Due to India’s widest waterfall, it is called Niagra of India.

The pavilion is designed in such a way that it provides a lively experience to visitors. The cultural prosperity, industrial power and possibilities of tourism of Chhattisgarh have been beautifully threaded in the pavilion. It makes the global audience aware of the development journey of Chhattisgarh and future possibilities. Nawa Raipur, the country’s first Greenfield Smart City, which has been prepared for investment and industrial progress, was the center of special attraction here.

CM addressed investor connect program

At the same time, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai while addressing the prestigious investor connect program held in Osaka said that Chhattisgarh is a strong confluence of natural resources, talented human beings and industry-friendly policies. He underlined that India and Japan are associated with the deep door of faith and shared values. The Chief Minister called upon the Japanese partners to become a partner in the development journey of Chhattisgarh, which is going beyond innovation, opportunity and shared prosperity.

Proposal to set up food processing unit

During the program, the Chief Minister proposed an investment of $ 11.45 million (₹ 100 crore) to set up a food processing unit to Sartaj Foods, Osaka. This project will give a new height to the food processing sector of the state, create employment on a large scale and provide new opportunities to farmers. The Chief Minister said that this initiative will further strengthen the agricultural-based economy of Chhattisgarh.

Under the Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings, Chief Minister Sai also met the President of Morabu Hanshin Company and Representative Director Naoyuki Shimda. This company is a pioneer in the fields of skilled engineers, system development and workforce solutions. The meeting discussed in detail the possibilities of cooperation in the field of skill training and workforce exchange. The Chief Minister said that this will pave the way for global opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh and the skill system of the state will become more powerful.

Abundant mineral wealth, single-window clearance system

On this occasion, the officials of Chhattisgarh presented the competitive characteristics of the state in detail. He said that providing abundant mineral wealth, active single-window clearance system, world-class industrial framework and providing a comfortable environment to global investors is the biggest strength of Chhattisgarh. The reforms being made in the state and incentive schemes for investors were appreciated by Japanese representatives. Especially companies wishing to invest in the fields of food processing, technology and advanced workforce solutions described Chhattisgarh as a state of appropriate opportunities.
