CRPF jawan shot himself while on duty in Sukma, chaos in the camp


The jawan, who was doing duty at the gross Naxal -affected camp of Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, shot himself. The jawan died on the spot, while he returned from the holiday a day earlier. The incident was confirmed by Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan.

The Ghor Naxal -affected camp of the district is deployed in CRPF’s Second Battalion. The jawan, who was doing duty on the front there, shot himself with his LMG (light machine gun). The bullet crossed the head and the jawan died on the spot, while the jawan had returned from the holiday a day earlier. Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan, while confirming the incident, said to investigate the entire case.

There was chaos due to the incident

At 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, CRPF Camp Minpa, a severe Naxalite, was chased by a sudden firing. The sound of a bullet was heard from the front located on the banks of the camp. The rest of the soldiers carefully towards the front and think that this is not the attack of Maoists. But after going near the front, the body of Shashi Bhushan Kumar, a jawan on duty, was lying on the ground.

There was blood nearby and a part of the head was missing. Shashi Bhushan Kumar, who hails from Gaya district of Bihar, was posted here in the Second Battalion and returned to the camp from home on Friday after finishing holiday. He was doing his duty when suddenly he shot himself with his rifle.

Police investigating the incident

As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot from Chintagufa police station. And why the incident happened and what could be the reason behind self -murder started investigating it. The body of the same jawan will be sent to Grihagram after post -mortem. The news was confirmed by SP Kiran Chavan.
