On Thursday, the DPR has made a proposal by the team of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. It has been told that the work of metro will be completed between the two cities at a cost of 10 thousand crores. During this time a 45 km track will be laid. Out of this, the 4.5 km track has been said to keep underground underground in Ujjain city. About 11 metro stations will be built between the two cities. The metro will start from Lavkush intersection of Indore and go to Ujjain railway station.
There is an attempt to run Indore and Ujjain Metro before the Mahakumbh to be held in 2028. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also expressed his intention on this. It is being told that while working on this plan, a DPR has been made by the Metro Rail Corporation. Because about 1 year ago, the team of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation conducted a survey to run the metro between Indore to Ujjain.
On this basis, the government had asked to make the final DPR. On this, on Thursday, DMRC Delhi team has introduced a DPR to run the metro with this. During this time, the team has also interacted with the officials of Indore and Ujjain district administration in detail. According to officials, this was the initial thing. It will be finalized in one to two weeks.
11 stations between Indore-Ujjain
According to DPR, stations will be built up to Bhohanrasala, Baroli, Dharampuri, Tarana, Saver, followed by Metro stations for Ujjain to Piplai, Ninora, Triveni Ghat, Nanakheda, Ujjain ISBT, Ujjain railway station. A proposal has been made to build some station underground in Ujjain, but where this station will be built, it has not been decided. The journey of the metro between Indore to Ujjain will be completed in a quarter of an hour. Along with time savings, people will get comfortable travel facilities.
Travel will be decided in 45 minutes
Running the metro between the two cities will take less time in the journey between Indore to Ujjain. Along with this, travelers who arrive to see Baba Mahakal will also be easy. Because this will reduce the journey from Indore to Ujjain by half an hour today. For now, it takes about 2 hours to come from Indore to Ujjain, but with the start of the metro, this journey will be just 45 to 50 minutes.
