IPS Satish Golcha
Delhi Police has got its full time police commissioner. Senior Indian Police Service officer Satish Golcha has been made the new Police Commissioner. Earlier, SBK Singh was made the police commissioner, but he could remain in the post of Commissioner for just 20 days. He was removed within 30 hours of the attack on CM Rekha Gupta.
IPS Satish Golcha, who is currently posted as Director General (Prison), Delhi, has been appointed to the post of Police Commissioner of Delhi till further order to take charge. He is a 1992 batch Indian Police Service officer.
Earlier, on 31 July last, senior officer of Indian Police Service SBK Singh was made the new commissioner of Delhi Police. SBK Singh is a 1988 batch officer and was given additional charge of Delhi Police Commissioner from 1 August.
SBK Singh was made the new commissioner of Delhi Police in place of Sanjay Arora, who retired on 31 July today. SBK Singh was working as Director General of Home Guards in Delhi while assuming additional charge of Police Commissioner. Earlier, on August 1, 2022, Rakesh Asthana was replaced by Rakesh Asthana, a 1988 batch IPS of Tamil Nadu cadre.
