PM Modi reviewed the conditions of Kishtwar
On August 14, the sky was knocked in Kishtwar area of Jammu division. Cloud burst here around 12:30 pm. So far 60 people have died in this tragedy. At the same time, 100 people have been injured. Prime Minister Modi spoke on the phone to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha after the Assamani disaster in Kishtwar. The PM reviewed the circumstances and assured of all possible help.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah posted on social media handle X and said, I just got a call from Prime Minister Modi. I informed them about the situation of Kishtwar and the steps being taken by the administration. People affected by my government and cloudburst are grateful for all assistance provided by the central government.
PM reviewed the circumstances
PM Modi also posted on social media handle X about the talk with CM and LG of Jammu and Kashmir. The PM said, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah spoke to the cloudburst in Kishtwar and post-flood conditions. Officers are working at the ground level to help the affected people.
60 people died in tragedy
After cloudburst in Kishtwar, there was a flood and for many people it became a period. CM Omar Abdullah said that 60 people have died in this tragedy. At the same time, 100 people have been injured. CM, I express my condolences to all the families who have lost their loved ones in this accident and pray for the injured to get well soon. I want to assure the people of Kishtwar that the government is making every effort.

Kishtwar havoc, rescue operation continues
In Kishtwar, there was a relaxed morning on Thursday as every day. But, no one knew that as the day comes out, they would bring havoc for them. It was only 12:30 in the afternoon when the cloud erupted with a sudden loud voice in the Chashoti area here. On hearing the voice, all the people came into panic and before they could participate or take any step to save themselves, the debris came out of the debris and many people got caught in it. Videos of the accident have surfaced. Which are full of pain. Many people were buried in the rubble, many were badly injured. After this, everyone was taken to the hospital. Rescue operation started.
