Waqf Board orders- Maulvi will teach nikah for just Rs 1100


Chhattisgarh (CG) State Waqf Board has issued a major order regarding Nikah Ceremony on Tuesday. This order has been issued by Chairman Salim Raj for all the Waqf institutions (mosques, madrasa, dargah).

The order states that in Chhattisgarh, the Nikah teaching (Maulvi, Affordable Weddings) will not be able to take more than 11 hundred rupees that IMAM, Maulana, who is taken by Maulana. Salim Raj had received several complaints about this after which this order has been issued.

What a complaint was received

Dr. Salim Raj had received some complaints in the past. In which it was said that any one Imam, Maulana refused to teach Nikah if not given a ration of Rs 5100 to teach Nikah and left from there. Taking this type of complaint seriously, Salim Raj has issued an order that now the Imam, Maulana Nikah across the state will not be able to take more than Rs 1100 or gift.

Action on receiving complaint

He said that in Islam, Sharia also ordered to make Nikah easier. There are more than 800 Imams and Maulana in the entire state who do the work of teaching nikah, if this order is violated by an Imam or Maulana or any such complaint is received against a Imam or Maulana, action will be taken against them.

What did Salim Raj say

Salim Raj said that, the main objective of issuing this decree is that people of the most backward classes and poor people of the society be given comfort. 5100 rupees is of great importance for a poor family. He has to make a lot of effort to earn. A disgrace that was born in the society with this decree will be far away and people of poor families will not have to pay any huge amount to teach Nikah.

33 percent divorce case decreased

Salim Raj said that, the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi ji has a dream that the poor should get the rights of the poor. Muslim divorced women are leading a happy life today with the implementation of triple talaq law. Divorce has decreased by 35 percent today.
