Sholay’s film model of Ramgarh Smart Village, why does the magic world look even after 50 years?

Peepal in the village, peepal shadows… Panghhat in Chhaiyan… This line of songs is enough to tell the identity of the old -fashioned Indian villages. But not only the robbery of the robber has changed in Sholay, but the view of the village was also completely changed. There were neither Peepal or Banyan trees nor such a wet fields where maize crops were seen standing or yellow mustard bloom. She was surrounded by high rocks, roads were stony, was barren all around, yet Sholay’s Ramgarh was a model of an idealistic village. It is not wrong if it is called smart villages of today’s era. There was everything in Ramgarh village, with the presence of which we can give him the status of a developed village.

However, even after fifty years after the release of Sholay, many things of Ramgarh seem like a dream for all the villages of India. The entire area is full of rocks, but when the dacoit of Gabbar Singh gang comes to the village to recover, the villagers Shankar and Dholia extract sack grains from their respective homes. The robber says- What brought Shankar, so he says- I have brought a tide my father. Really, it seems to be the world of magic. It seems that Ramgarh must have been settled by a magician.

Who is the magician architect of Ramgarh?

After all, who was that magician and Kahe, he will try to know all this. Many of you must have seen the Sholay film, one dialogue will also be remembered. Remember one scene of the film. He is surrounded by high rocks. The paths have been made by cutting the rocks. On looking at the paths between the rocks, it seems that here too, there would have been a militant like a mountain man Dasharatha Majhi, who showed this historical act.

There is also a bridge here, where Jai (Amitabh Bachchan) is injured while shooting. Ramgarh of Vakai Sholay was the act of a lover and magician. The magicians of Ramgarh were- the art directors of the film Ram Yedkar and Aashiq were- director Ramesh Sippy and producer GP Sippy, who had a lover from cinema. There was a passion on the head that something different has to be done. In India, a canvas film is to be made that usually appears abroad.

How was the location of Ramgarh discovered?

In a conversation, Ramesh Sippy had said about the film Ramgarh-“Earlier, the shooting of the dacoits was mostly shot and around.

There was a conversation between Ramesh Sippy and Art Director Ram Yedkar about the search for Sholay’s location. Ramesh Sippy asked him to find something different that is similar to the location of Western cinema and not like the world of bandits shown in Hindi films. Ram Yedkar said- He knows about such a place. After this he went to Bagalore. About 70-80 kili meters away from there and went to Ramganaram and did a lot of photography of location.

Ramnagaram now famous by the name of Ramgarh

Director Ramesh Sippy has further stated that “He took out the print of about half of Ramnagarm and spread it on the table in front of us. I was stunned to see the open location in those pictures. We got the desired location in the country itself. After this, he handled the entire responsibility of settling Ramgarh. Gaya became the destination of the film tourism. “

What are the big things of Ramgarh village?

Now we look into some big things of Ramgarh village of Sholay, which makes it the most unbeatable. Such a village which is still very difficult to find in India. At the time of watching the film Sholay, watch the location of Ramgarh carefully. There is Thakur in the village but Thakur does not have a well. There is a water tank here. The tank with which the thirst of the entire village is quenched. That is, there is no untouchability here. On this tank, Veeru i.e. Dharmendra climbs and gimmown drunk on liquor- there is emotion in this story, etc. etc.

In the era of 1975, the water tank in the village of India does not seem less than the high tower of development. However, there is no electricity in Ramgarh, nor wire is seen nor pillars or transformers. Because Thakur’s younger daughter-in-law Radha i.e. Jaya Bachchan is seen repeatedly extinguishing the lamp after late night. And on the other side, Jai i.e. Amitabh Bachchan is seen playing the mouth organ on the verandah of his balcony. A unique relationship between light and music enhances. The entire scene is filled with sensation. They feel a possibility in it.

Untouchable, brother -in -law village

Sholay’s Ramgarh is not only free from social untouchability, but the spirit of brotherhood is also seen here. Here on the day of Holi, everyone’s hearts blossom and enemies also embrace. There is a Shiva temple on one side and mosque on the other side. In the Shiva temple, Basanti i.e. Hema Malini takes the plate of worship. And hiding behind the temple, his lover Veeru i.e. Dharmendra laughs with him. The elderly Imam Saheb i.e. AK Hangal from the stairs of the mosque, whenever they appear to descend, Basanti holds his hand. Because Imam Saheb is not able to see, go on sticking with sticks.

This is the same Rahim uncle Imam Saheb whose son Ahmed i.e. Sachin Pilgaonkar’s Gabbar Singh kills, standing near his funeral, he says in sorrow and anger- Today, ask God, why did not my two-three more sons be used for this village. Two of his dialogues in Sholay became quite famous compared to Gabbar and Thakur. They said- You know what is the biggest burden of the world, the son’s funeral on the father’s shoulder. He taught the villagers that- Death of better respect than Jilat’s life. After this, Ramgarh people allow Jai and Veeru to stay in the village.

Symbol

Basanti is the only beautiful girl in the village. She runs a tanga for the sake of her stomach along with the mare Dhanno and aunt. Rose brings rides from the railway station to the surrounding villages. There is a fear of Gabbar Singh in the villages fifty-fifty-fifty kos in the entire area. The child also gets silent after hearing the name of Gabbar Singh but Basanti runs uninterrupted Tanga. Of course, Basanti seems to be a symbol of women empowerment in that village. Talking to Veeru, she says- Dhanno can be a mare and tangle, so why can’t Basanti run a Tanga as a girl. In this way, she becomes not only women empowerment but also a symbol of self -sufficiency.

In this way Ramgarh becomes like a mini Hindustan. Every type of business, employment appears here. Whereas this village was settled fifty years ago. Everyone used to live together and develop together. Come on, let’s celebrate each other’s festival while singing friends. A happy village with untouchability and brotherhood is a perfect in the country today.
