Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Karnataka today. PM Modi, who reached Bangalore, flagged off 3 Vande Bharat Express trains from KSR railway station. He then inaugurated the Yellow line of Bangalore Metro and also traveled by Metro from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronic City Metro Station.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects related to urban connectivity in the city. Along with this, he will also address a public meeting. PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of urban connectivity projects worth more than Rs 23,000 crore for Bangalore and different parts of the country today.

96 Bangalore Metro network reached km
PM Modi inaugurated the Yellow line from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bomasandra under Bangalore Metro Phase-2. This line, more than 19 kilometers, includes 16 stations and its construction has spent about Rs 7,160 crore. After its commencement, the network of Bangalore Metro has increased to 96 km.
After the inauguration, PM Modi along with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar traveled from Yellow Line to RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronic City Metro Station.
Metro Phase-3 Will lay the foundation stone of the project
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Metro Phase-3 project. This 44 km long project to be built at a cost of about Rs 15,610 crore will include 31 elevated stations. This will reduce the traffic pressure in the city as well as connect residential, industrial and academic areas better.
Three Vande India trains begin
PM Modi from KSR railway station, Bengaluru flagged off three new Vande Bharat Express trains. These include Bengaluru-Belgawi Vande Bharat Express, Amritsar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express and Nagpur (Ajni)-Pune Vande Bharat Express.
