Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, a new era started in the field of education, skill development and innovation in Chhattisgarh today. Chief Minister Shri Sai today witnessed the signing of the tripartite MoU between Chhattisgarh Government, Raipur, Raipur, Raipur (IIM) Raipur, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur and Motilal Oswal Foundation in a special event organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital. The construction of the entrepreneurship center to be established under this agreement will start in the year 2025-26 and a target has been set to make it fully active by the year 2027-28.

The Chief Minister said that under this tripartite agreement, “Mrs. Mithilesh Agarwal innovation and entrepreneurship excellence will be established, which will work to make the youth self -sufficient through research, experimentation and entrepreneurship. He also said that this Center for Excellence should not be limited to the students of IIM or NIT, but also benefit from village-to-village youth. The Chief Minister also urged the industry to join this education and skill development movement.

Chhattisgarh will lead the new economy- Sai

Chief Minister Sai further said that Chhattisgarh is now moving rapidly in state-of-the-art areas like core sector as well as semiconductor, artificial intelligence, pharma, defense, aerospace and green hydrogen. As a result of more than three and a half hundred reforms made in the last 20 months, an investment environment has been created in the state and in just eight months, investment proposals of more than Rs 6.75 lakh crore have been received.

The Chief Minister called upon the people of the state to take a pledge that we will make Chhattisgarh not a resource-based state, but a state to lead a innovative economy where youth should be the carriers of change and give direction to the society with entrepreneurship.

The country’s largest training center will be built for farmers

Ramdev Agarwal, co-founder and chairman of Motilal Oswal Foundation, announced the establishment of the country’s largest training center for farmers in Raipur in the program. He said that Chhattisgarh is a very prosperous state, which has immense potential for development. His foundation is completely dedicated to this development journey. Mr. Aggarwal informed that the Foundation has decided to dedicate 10 percent of its total fund to social welfare, which will be used in education, skills and agriculture related works.

Motilal Oswal Foundation gave 172 crores

Motilal Oswal Foundation has announced a total donation of Rs 172 crore to IIM Raipur and NIT Raipur. Out of this, Rs 101 crore will be provided to IIM Raipur and Rs 71 crore to NIT Raipur. With this donation, 202 rooms of “Oswal Hostel” and “Dau Ram Gopal Agarwal Knowledge Center” will be established in IIM Raipur. In addition, six international MBA programs will be started in collaboration with top institutions in the US, Britain, France and Germany.

Similarly, “Mrs. Mithilesh Agarwal Center of Excellence” will be established at NIT Raipur, which will work on deep-tech areas like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Internet of Things, Blockchain and Clean Energy.

More than 10,000 youth will get training

This center will train over 10,000 youth by the year 2030, incubate more than 250 startups and create more than 5,000 skilled jobs. This initiative has been developed on Chhattisgarh’s industrial needs, especially mining, steel and manufacturing areas, and it will be focused on the solution of real problems in collaboration with local industries.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary Niharika Fine, Secretary of Higher Education and Skill Development Department S.K. Bharatidasana, Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority Chief Executive Officer Vijay Dayaram K, NIT Raipur Chairman Dr. Suresh Howre, IIM Raipur Chairman Puneet Dalmia, NIT Director N. V. Prasanna Rao, Director in charge of IIM Raipur, Dr. Sanjeev Parashar, Administrative Officer, Educationist and a large number of students were present.
