Two months have passed since the Metro Service started in Indore. Initially, the residents were seen traveling enthusiastically, but now the number of passengers has decreased. From Monday to Saturday, 200 to 500 passengers are traveling daily, while on Sunday this number is relatively high. On Saturday, 515 passengers traveled.
The metro management has changed the time of metro operations on the super priority corridor. Now from Monday to Saturday, the metro will run from 1 pm to 7 pm. Earlier this service used to operate from 10 am to 6 pm. Earlier on Saturday and Sunday, it was operated from 10 am to 8 pm. The new time table will be applicable from August 4.
Under the new system, a metro will run every one hour from Monday to Saturday, while a train will be run every half an hour on Sunday.
It is worth noting that the metro is currently operating between five stations on the 5.9 km Super Prorty Corridor. Trial runs are proposed to Radisson intersection in the coming days. For this, incomplete tracking near Jumbo Bridge has been completed. Trial runs will be done on 11 km long by the third week of August.
