Police took out a procession for attacking girlfriends
A college student was attacked two days ago in Vishwakarma locality under Ranjhi police station area of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. The police arrested the accused lover and took off Ishqiya ghost. The place where the accused carried out the crime, the police took out a procession on Sunday afternoon at the same place. The procession was taken out from Gandhi Chowk at around 3 pm. In which a large number of local people were present. The purpose of this strict action of the police was to convey the message that those who attack women would not be spared and would be embarrassed in public.
According to the police, there was a love affair between the accused Monu Cole and the victim for the last four years. It is being told that both Bargi went to visit 20 days ago. After which both returned till late night. After this, the student called the family and informed about taking force by Monu. There was a dispute between the two about this and after that the conversation was stopped. It is being told that Monu was angry with a breakup.
Attack to take revenge
The accused Monu was continuously following her with the intention of taking revenge on the student. Two days ago, when the girl was returning from college, Monu stopped her path near Ravana Park and there was an argument between the two. Angry, Monu attacked the student with a screwdriver kept with him. The seriously injured girl was immediately admitted to a private hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
Arrested within 24 hours
The police registered a case against the accused Monu Cole on the basis of the victim’s statement and the testimony of eyewitnesses and arrested her within 24 hours. After the arrest, on Sunday, the police took out a public procession of the accused so that the fear of law in the society would remain and women feel safe. Ranjhi police station in -charge Umesh Golhani says that strict action will be taken on such incidents and an attempt will be made to punish the accused. Also, the police is constantly conscious and active about the safety of women in the society.
