‘We have one last chance’, before the fifth Test, Gautam Gambhir filled the players

The fourth Test of Anderson-Tendulkar series was extremely exciting, which finally ended on the draw. From July 31, both countries will play the fifth Test, before which the Indian team visited London -based ‘Indian High Commission’ on Tuesday.

During this, the players and associate staff met officers and dignitaries, which saw a sense of self -consciousness, pride and resolve. All thanked for the unwavering support received on the UK tour. Head coach Gautam Gambhir highlighted the historical importance of the Indo-England matches and the intensity of the series.

Gambhir said, “The tour of England has always been exciting and challenging. The history between the two countries can never be forgotten. We have appreciated the support received on the UK tour every time.”

England won the first match of the Test series by five wickets, after which Team India retaliated and won the second match by 336 runs. England won the third Test by a close margin of 22 and made a 2–1 lead in the series, followed by the fourth Test draw.

Gautam Gambhir said, “The last five weeks have been extremely exciting for both countries. I am sure that the kind of cricket was played, it has made every cricket lover proud. Both teams performed a strong game.”

India has a chance to end the series 2–2 by winning the final Test. Gambhir appealed for a united effort for the last Test. He said, “We have one week. One has to make one last effort. This is the last chance to make our country proud. Jai Hind.”
