Due to the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, continuous efforts are being made to increase the number of tigers in Madhya Pradesh. As a result of active management of tiger residence areas, the number of tigers is also increasing continuously. The corridors of Madhya Pradesh are connected to the tiger reserves of North and South India. Better management of national parks is the main role in increasing the number of tigers in the state. The state government has displaced the villages adjoining the forest and freed from organic pressure. As a result of the displacement of the village from the protected areas, the residence area of wildlife has expanded.

All villages have been displaced from the core area of Kanha, Pench and Kuno Palpur. More than 90 percent core area of Satpura Tiger Reserve has also been freed from biological pressure. After the displacement, grasslands of local species have been developed with the help of Ghans experts, due to which fodder is available throughout the year for vegetarian wildlife. In the preserved areas, the habitat development program has been run by successful management in the past years from active management to the cheetls from successful areas with less number of chital. From this initiative, chital, which is the main food of tigers, has increased their number and the presence of chital throughout the terrain has increased.

Madhya Pradesh at the top in the management of national parks

Madhya Pradesh has achieved the top position in the country in the effective management of national parks and protected sectors besides achieving Tiger State status. The Satpura Tiger Reserve has been included in the possible list of UNESCO World Heritage. According to the effectiveness assessment report of the management of the Tiger Reserve released by the Central Government, the Pench Tiger Reserve has achieved the highest rank in the country. Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Sanjay and Satpura Tiger Reserve have been considered as the best management reserves. In these national parks, unique management plans and innovative methods have been adopted.

CM Mohan Yadav’s initiative for conservation of tigers

The state government is taking several initiatives for the protection of tigers, including conservation and management of wildlife sanctuaries, using modern technologies for tiger monitoring and providing employment to local communities. There are 9 tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh, including (Kanha Kisli, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Panna Bundelkhand, Satpura Narmadapuram, Sanjay Dubri Sidhi, Nauradehi, Madhav National Park and Dr. Vishnu Wakankar Tiger Reserve (Ratapani). This is the most bound to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh. This is the most famous tiger of Madhya Pradesh.

Number of foreign tourists increased in Tiger Reserve

Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the center of special attraction in wildlife tourism. The number of domestic and foreign tourists in the Tiger Reserve is continuously increasing. In the Tiger Reserve of the state, 32 thousand 528 in the year 2024-25, 23 thousand 59 in Kanha Tiger Reserve, 15 thousand 201 in Panna Tiger Reserve, 13 thousand 127 in Pench Tiger Reserve and 10 thousand 38 in Satpura Tiger Reserve. Whereas in the year 2023-24, the number of foreign tourists was 25 thousand 894 in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, 18 thousand 179 in Kanha Tiger Reserve, 12 thousand 538 in Panna Tiger Reserve, 9 thousand 856 in Pench Tiger Reserve and 6 thousand 876 in Satpura Tiger Reserve.

In the Madhya Pradesh Tiger Reserve, the number of Indian tourists in 5 years was 7 lakh 38 thousand 637 and the number of foreign tourists was 85 thousand 742. Thus, there was a total number of 8 lakh 24 thousand 379 tourists. In 5 years, about 61 crore 22 lakhs of Tiger Reserve have been earned.

Kanha Tiger Reserve, the best housing area of tigers

According to the report released by the Indian Wildlife Institute Dehradun, Kanha Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh has been declared the best housing area of tigers. According to the report, Kanha Tiger Reserve has the highest number of vegetarian wildlife in the country, which has abundance of vegetarian creatures like Chital, Sambhar, Gaur, Wild Pow, Barking Dear, Nilgai and Hog Dear, which is an important source of food for tigers. The Kanha Reserve includes grasslands, forests and rivers for the residence of tigers, which are suitable for tigers. Active housing management practices have been implemented in Kanha Tiger Reserve, such as maintenance of pastures, water resource growth and removal of aggressive plants.

The villages in Kanha have been transferred from the core area, which has reduced human intervention and allow wildlife to move freely. The M-Stripes mobile app is used for monitoring wildlife in Kanha Tiger Reserve and regular training is provided to forest workers.

Kanha Tiger is located in Mandla district of Reserve Pradesh, its total area is 2074 sq km which includes 917.43 sq km core area and 1134 square kilometers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the forest staff on the declaration of the best house of tigers by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He said that other reserves should also take positive initiative in this direction.

Innovation in the conservation of tigers in Madhya Pradesh

On the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, many innovations are being made in Madhya Pradesh to conserve tigers. Jean Testing – There is a plan to do gene testing of tigers in Madhya Pradesh, so that they can be identified accurately. Rescue centers are being set up in Ujjain and Jabalpur on the lines of Banatara Zoo and Rescue Center in Gujarat. ,

The drone squad Panna Tiger Reserve has started operating the drone squad using state -of -the -art technology in wildlife conservation. This will help in the discovery of wildlife, their rescue, forest fire and prevent human-cum-struggle.

Displacement and residence development has been displaced by 200 villages for the conservation of tigers in Madhya Pradesh and residence development program is being run. This has expanded the housing area of tigers and their number is also increasing. With the expansion of the Tiger Reserve, these innovations have resulted in an increase in the number of tigers in Madhya Pradesh and it has become the most tiger state in the country.

Wildlife crime control initiative in Madhya Pradesh

Wildlife Crime Control Unit has been formed in Madhya Pradesh, which works to prevent wildlife hunting and illegal trade. The joint action of the police and the forest department is helping to catch the poachers and take action against them. Village Forest Management Committees have been included in wildlife conservation, which help prevent prey. Awareness campaign is being conducted by the Forest Department, so that people can be aware of the importance and conservation of wildlife.

Modern technology is being used in wildlife conservation in Madhya Pradesh, such as drone and camera trap, so that hunters can be monitored. The Forest Department has prepared a list of wildlife criminals, which can help in taking action against them. Madhya Pradesh Forest Department is cooperating with international organizations, which can help in wildlife conservation. As a result of these activities, the incidence of hunting in Madhya Pradesh has decreased and the number of wildlife has increased.
