Big step towards Digital India, 400 new BSNL towers will be installed in Naxalite affected areas, connectivity will get speed


The central government is going to set up 400 new BSNL mobile towers in Naxal -affected and remote areas of Chhattisgarh. This information was given by Dr. Pemmasani Chandrashekhar, Minister of State for Rural Development and Telecommunications during the visit to Raipur. He said that the scheme is part of the mission to bring digital connectivity to the last village.

Review meeting held in Raipur, discussion on development plans

Dr. Chandrashekhar discussed with officials of Telecom, Rural Development, Posts and BSNL in a high level review meeting held in Raipur (Chhattisgarh News). In the meeting, he shared a strategy to set up towers in Naxal areas and said that this work will be started in a phased manner after getting necessary approval from the security forces and the forest department.

Villages will be empowered by 4G services

The Minister of State said that BSNL is providing 4G services of high quality across the country. Now these services will also be expanded in remote areas of Chhattisgarh (Chhattisgarh News), which will provide direct access to digital empowerment, online education, telemedicine and government services to rural areas.

Satisfaction over the implementation of PMAY and PMGSY schemes

During the meeting (Chhattisgarh News), Dr. Chandrashekhar expressed satisfaction over the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and PMAY-Rural. He said that these schemes are strengthening residential facilities and road connectivity of rural India, which is improving the quality of life in the villages.

‘Pink Auto’ model for women empowerment

Dr. Chandrashekhar appreciated the role of self -help groups (SHGS) and described the ongoing ‘Pink Auto’ scheme for Chhattisgarh News in Chhattisgarh. Under this scheme, women owned auto rickshaws are being provided to women, giving them new opportunities for economic self -reliance and employment.

He said that financial assistance, training and marketing facilities are being provided by connecting SHGS to various schemes, which has boosted women’s confidence and they are moving forward on the path of self -employment.
