Maruti Suzuki’s first major step in the Indian EV market has now changed the name. The SUV, known as ‘E-Vitara’, is now seen with the name ‘EesCudo’. It will be launched on 3 September and will get many high-tech features and strong performance.

Initially it was introduced under the name ‘E-Vitara’, but now in a recent spy image, the vehicle has been seen with ‘Eescudo’ badging. This change indicates that the company can now launch it under the name Eescudo.
2. Launched in India on 3 September
Maruti has confirmed that his first all-electric SUV will be launched in India on 3 September 2025. The train was previously shown as ‘E-Vitara’ in the Bharat Mobility Expo and other testing stages, but now it has been seen outside the plant in Gurgaon with the name EESCUDO.
3. What is the reason behind changing the name
Actually, Suzuki sells Vitara under the name ‘Escudo’ in markets like Japan. In such a situation, it is possible that due to global branding and market compatibility, the name ESCUDO has also been selected in India. However, the company has not yet been officially confirmed by this change.
4. New twist is in design and looks
This electric SUV will see a strong and modern look. It has 18-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, DRL and attractive taillights. Grill and sharp body line with active air vent on the front give it a futuristic look.
