Special religious and cultural events of Goddess Parvati will be organized on the evening of 28 July at Shri Sumukh Ganesh Temple in Railway Zone Construction Colony. This festival is not just a religious ritual, but a celebration of reverence, affection and tradition dedicated to the maternity form of Goddess Parvati.

This ritual of filling ‘Parvati’s lap’ in states like Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka, India has a special emotional and traditional significance. Now in Bilaspur too, women are celebrating this holy ritual with reverence. In the event, the idol of Goddess Parvati will be decorated with bangles, sarees and traditional jewelery. Pictures of deities on stage will be equipped in pyramid shape.

In worship method, women will offer turmeric, sindoor, honey material, fruits and flowers. This ritual will become a medium of emotional-cultural connection for both married and unmarried women. The objects offered to Mata Parvati will be a symbol of Indian women power, dedication and love.

Traditional five types of special offerings will be offered in indulgence – lemon rice, coconut rice, semolina pudding, poha and wet moong dal. In addition, women will be presented as turmeric, flowers and fruit gifts after worship.

The purpose of this event is to express reverence for motherhood, power and women’s dignity. At the same time, the event is also seen as a social link connecting generations, where women unite and share faith, culture and feelings.

The main priests and organizers said that this festival is not only religious practice, but also an attempt to highlight the soul of Indian women tradition.
