The Madhya Pradesh High Court has taken a tough stand on the traffic system of Indore. The couple of Justice Vivek Rusia and Justice BK Dwivedi said that improvement is not possible without strictness. The court asked the officials to appear with an action plan to improve traffic. During the hearing, the court directed to take strict action against those who violated the encroachment on the road and traffic rules.
No improvement is possible without strictness. Indore is a city of sensible people. If you do a little strictness, it will join the habit of people. Currently there is no fear of law among people. If the traffic of the city is to improve, then the people here have to be made aware. The police cannot stand everywhere. Indore can become number one in cleanliness, so why not in traffic. The authorities have been called here to solve the problem.
This was stated by the couple of Justice Vivek Rusia and Justice BK Dwivedi of the Madhya Pradesh High Court while hearing the ongoing PIL on the city’s bad traffic system. PIL has been filed by Rajalakshmi Foundation. On the order of the court, Collector Ashish Singh, Police Commissioner Santosh Singh, Corporation Commissioner Shivam Verma attended the court.
Earlier, the court had asked Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava to help the court as Justice. So they were also present. Advocate Bhuvan Gautam, who is advocating on behalf of the government and the municipal corporation, told the court, action is taken against those who jump signal. The judiciary has reserved the order.
If you want to see how wide the road is, then go out at five in the morning
The court lashed out at the system and said that the condition is that more than half of the roads are lying on the shopkeepers. When the corporation’s team leaves for action, the shopkeepers take the goods inside. As soon as the action is over, the shops again come down on the road. If you want to see the actual width of the road, then look out at five in the morning.
Nothing will happen until it is strict
The court said that the public will have to be made aware. Police or corporation cannot be erected everywhere. It is not possible that the police stand behind every person. Strictness has to be shown to make the public aware. People roam the road without helmets. Until you show strictness, you will not impose heavy fine, nothing will happen.
