Chhattisgarh government will help Navalin Kaur
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the state government is working with constant commitment to identify and carry forward sports talent. Every player of the state will be provided opportunities, resources and platform according to his hard work, dedication and ability. He congratulated the debutant Navodaj Navalin Kaur of Mahasamund district on making a place in archery in the upcoming National Games. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the government will provide all possible help to players like Navalin to improve every level of sports. Navalin, who struggled with health challenges since birth, turned it into strength, not her weakness and chose the game as her life. Navalin proved that by winning the gold medal in the state level competition in February 2025, it proved that no obstacle is bigger in front of will and hard work.
Who is Navalin Kaur?
Navalin Kaur, resident of Bagbahara of Mahasamund, is the daughter of Naval Kaur, Arvind and Ranjit Kaur Chhabra. He was born in the seventh month of pregnancy, causing many health problems in the early years. The neighborhood, relatives and acquaintances always kept asking about their health, which would sometimes get depressed. But Navalin accepted this curiosity as a challenge and adapted herself in a new direction.
In the year 2018, Navalin started training in archery at Bihajhar Balashram, about five kilometers from Bagbahara. She became the first woman archer of Mahasamund district. During schooling, he won medals in state level competitions twice and once earned fourth position in the national level school archery competition. In 2023, he represented Chhattisgarh in the FGFI National Archery Competition held in Gujarat and finished second in the state level senior archery competition.
What is Navalin’s goal?
Navalin’s goal is to win a medal representing India internationally. He said that in international events, compound is played with Bo, for which his family has given him a new modern compound bow. He has made a great start by securing first place in the compound round girls category in the City Open Archery Competition. Currently Navalin coach Evon Sahu and Sports Officer Manoj Dhritalhare are learning the tricks of archery.
