A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The meeting emphasized the renewal and modernization of various units. Approval of data strengthening scheme in the state was approved under the Department of Economic and Statistics. The state government is taking a new initiative towards statistics from statistics through this scheme. The scheme will help the government make better and correct decisions on the basis of data. Also, by getting data and analysis on time, the government will be able to make a better policy.

Approval of renewal of units of Gandhisagar Hydropower Home

The Council of Ministers provided approval of the amount payable by Madhya Pradesh for renewal and modernization of (4 × 43 MW) Ranapratap Sagar Hydropower House (4 × 43 MW) under Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited. According to the decision, approval of Rs 464 crore 55 lakh was provided for the revised estimated cost of renewal and modernization of the five units (5 × 23 MW) of Gandhisagar Hydropower House.

Approval of Rs 573 crore 76 lakh was provided in the DPR of renewal and modernization of the four units (4 × 43 MW) of Rana Pratap Sagar Hydropower House.

The approval of both the projects was approved to provide Rs 127 crore 6 lakh to the amount of Rs 127 crore 6 lakh to the amount of Rs 127 crore 6 lakh to the prescribed share of the prescribed part of the prescribed share on the project amount. The amount will be spent to change the machinery. The project is useful for the next 40 years.

50% discount in Vikramotsav Business Fair Ujjain motor vehicle tax

In the Vikramotsav Business Fair of Ujjain, in the year-2025, the Council of Ministers decided to provide 50% discount in motor vehicle tax on automobile sale in the year-2025, and the notification of the Transport Department was appointed on 14 January 2025 and 9 April 2025.

According to the decision, all such non-transport vehicles (motorcycles, motor cars, omni bus for personal use) and light transport vehicles will be provided a discount of 50 percent in the rate of lifetime motor vehicle on sale, which will be sold during the fair period of Ujjain trade fair in the year 2025. The exemption will be provided only on permanent registration from the Regional Transport Office, Ujjain, the rebate.

Automobile businessman coming from outside Ujjain will be allowed to get a business certificate from the Regional Transport Office, Ujjain and sell the vehicle only after ensuring its physical presence in the fair premises in Ujjain.

50% in Motor Vehicle Tax in Gwalior Trade Fair 2024-25

In the Gwalior Trade Fair 2024-25 by the Council of Ministers, the Transport Department notification was approved on 14 January 2025, deciding to provide 50% discount on automobile sale. In the notification, the Gwalior Trade Fair was given consent on the basis of conditions for the year 2024-25.

According to the decision, Gwalior Trade Fair 2024-2025 will provide a discount of 50 percent in non-transport vehicles (motorcycles, motor cars, omni bus personal use) and light transport vehicles on the sale rate of lifetime on sales during the fair period. Rebate will be provided only on permanent registration from the Regional Transport Office, Gwalior of the wild vehicles. After obtaining a business certificate in the Automobile Business Regional Transport Office, Gwalior coming from outside Gwalior, the vehicle will be able to sell only after ensuring their physical presence in the fair premises.
