Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express have completed investigation of fuel control switch (FCS) in all its Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 aircraft. According to the instructions of DGCA 14 July 2025, this investigation was completed on time. No malfunction was found in the investigation. Air India voluntarily started this investigation on July 12.

AI has given this information to the DGCA and said that it is fully committed to the safety of the passengers and crew.

In fact, on June 12 this year, the Air India aircraft, going from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed about 32 seconds soon after flying AI171. The aircraft carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members lost the signal at a height of 625 feet before the doctors hit a hostel in Meghani Nagar residential area of Ahmedabad. 241 people aboard the aircraft died in the accident, out of which only one Indian origin British citizen survived. Apart from this, 19 other people were killed and 67 were seriously injured on the ground.
