Sunil Dutt and Nargis
Both Sanjay Dutt’s parents were veteran artists of Hindi cinema. Both Sanjay Dutt’s mother Nargis and father Sunil Dutt had earned a big name in Bollywood. Along with both films, he was in a lot of headlines for his relationship. Sunil and Nargis were from different religions, in such a situation, their marriage and relationship were in the headlines.
The pair of Sunil Dutt and Nargis were once the most magnificent and popular pair of Bollywood. But, you will be surprised to know that both have also appeared in the character of mother and son on the big screen. However, during the shooting of the same picture, the closeness between the two started growing. Meanwhile, Sunil proposed to Nargis one day. The actor was very scared when Nargis did not respond. In such a situation, he had made up his mind to leave Bollywood and go to his village and do farming.
When Sunil proposes to Nargis
Sunil and Nargis married in the year 1958. Earlier, both of them had an affair. In the 1957 film ‘Mother India’, Sunil played the role of Nargis’s son, named Birju. Nargis started calling Sunil again under the name Birju. The love of both of them climbed on the set and then one day Sunil told his heart to Nargis.
The late actor had told in one of his interviews that one day Nargis came to her house, when she started leaving, Sunil told her that I leave you. Sunil then went to leave the actress with his Fiat car. The actor had told, “I gathered a lot of courage to him- ‘I want to say something to you.’ He said, “Yes, tell Birju. I told him directly, ‘Will you marry me? “
Sunil was going to do farming leaving Bollywood
Nargis did not respond to Sunil and then she got down from the car when she came home. Sunil further said that I had thought that if Nargis did not say, I will leave Bollywood and go to the village and do farming. But, after a few days, Nargis gave her answer to Sunil Dutt’s sister. His sister told Sunil, “Nargis ji has agreed.” After this, Nargis and Sunil got married in 1958. The couple had three children, Namrata Dutt, Priya Dutt and Sanjay Dutt. Nargis died in 1981 and Sunil Dutt died in 2005.
