On Friday, security forces killed six Naxalites in an encounter in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information. Inspector General of Police (IG) of Bastar region Sundararaj P said that on the basis of the presence of Maoists in Abujhmad area of Narayanpur district, joint parties of security forces were sent on an anti -Naxal operation.
IG P Sundararaj said that during the campaign, there was an intermittent encounter between security forces and Maoists since Friday afternoon. He said that during the search operation so far, bodies of six Naxalites, AK-47 and SLR Rifle, many other weapons, explosive materials and daily use items have been recovered from the encounter site.

IG P Sundararaj said that the campaign is still going on, so more information cannot be shared to ensure the safety of the soldiers involved. He informed that after the completion of the campaign, detailed information will be given in this regard.
