The Delhi High Court on Wednesday canceled the FIR registered against 70 Indian citizens.
Advocate Ashima Mandla said, “The FIR lodged against 70 Indian citizens has been canceled by the Delhi High Court for violating the restrictions associated with Korona during the religious event of Tabligi Jamaat in March 2020.”
He said, “These people were also accused of spreading the disease. We argued that these people were only giving facility to stay and living. As far as the allegation of spreading the disease is concerned, we told in the court that there is no written in the charge sheet that it has been written in the charge sheet that any one of these 70s was covid-13. When anyone did not have the disease, how can they spread it?”
Markaz emerged as the corona virus hotspot at the time when 24 people who attended the Dharmik Sabha were found to be corona positive.
The Crime Branch had filed a case against 955 foreign deposits under various provisions of the Foreign Act, Disaster Management Act, Epity Management Act and the Indian Penal Code.
