Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal is constantly making efforts to give Raipur the status of international airport. During his stay in Delhi, MP Brijmohan Agrawal met Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjrapu Rammohan Naidu on Tuesday and proposed to give Raipur the status of international airport to Raipur before 1 November.
MP Brijmohan Agrawal asked the minister to give Raipur the status of international airport before the foundation day of Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, Brijmohan Agrawal also requested to open a flying school at Nandani Airport in Bhilai and to create a new terminal here, increasing the capacity of Raipur Airport.
Brijmohan Agrawal also talked to Minister Naidu to increase connectivity from Raipur to Bilaspur, Ambikapur, Jagdalpur air route. Also urged to start international cargo in Raipur.
According to MP Brijmohan Agrawal, the economic development of Raipur will be further felt by Raipur’s status of international airport. Connectivity will improve better. Minister Naidu has assured MP Brijmohan Agrawal to take steps on the proposal as soon as possible.
During the meeting, a member of Raipur Airport Committee and Aviation Guru Dr. Sumit Sushilon were also present.
