Political storm on Pakistanis in Chhattisgarh: Rohingya-Bangladeshi’s expulsion operation increased political uproar

After Operation Sindoor, the government ordered the identity and expulsion of Pakistanis, but during the BJP elections, the BJP kept promising that all Rohingya, Bangladeshi and Pakistani citizens would be excluded. It has been more than two years today, but not a single Pakistani citizen was sent back. This silence only means his inaction, ‘Baghel said, questioning the BJP government’s’ double-engine’ government’s efficiency.

BJP retaliation:

Responding to Bhupesh Baghel’s allegations, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that if Baghel really wants an answer, he should raise this issue in the assembly. ‘He was not present in the assembly at the time of discussion on PM Awas Yojana yesterday. If he is serious about these issues, he should be raised in the House, not outside. We are fully aware of the legal matters of Pakistanis and the illegal citizens are under investigation, ‘Sharma said.

According to sources, around 2,000 Pakistani citizens are living on legitimate short-term and long-term visas in India, of which more than 95 percent are Hindus. Some of these citizens have also applied for Indian citizenship. After the Pahalgam terrorist attack in 2016, 11 Pakistani citizens themselves returned to Pakistan.

Congress efforts to increase pressure:

The Congress is constantly seeking data and is demanding expels of all Pakistani citizens living in Chhattisgarh. At the same time, BJP MLAs say that this issue should be resolved within the assembly and not on outside forums to avail electoral advantage.

This process of allegations and counter-allegations among political parties has now become a new political tornado on the issue of illegal foreign nationals in Chhattisgarh. This case can be further heated by the sharp statements of both sides. Especially during the assembly session, it has become clear from the debate on this that this issue can become even more important in the coming times in the political perspective of the state.

Will BJP and Congress be able to reach an opinion on this issue? Or will this political fight go to the next elections? Time will tell, but citizens of Chhattisgarh will not back down from paying attention to this issue.
