In Andhra Pradesh, 9 laborers killed and 10 injured due to mango -laden truck overturning


The night in Annamaya district of Andhra Pradesh took place painful. A truck loaded with mangoes turned out to be killed and 10 others were injured. The dead include 5 women.

The injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Rajampet. The accident occurred at Reddy Cheruvu Katta of Pulmpeta Mandal, which is about 60 km from Kadapa city. According to the police, the laborers sitting on top of the mango piles were buried under the truck overturned. According to the report, the truck driver survived the accident. The driver told the police that he lost control in an attempt to avoid the collision with the car coming from the front.

21 daily wage laborers of Venkatagiri division in Railway Koduru and Tirupati district had gone to Esukapalli and nearby villages. The truck was going to the railway Koduru market with mangoes and the workers were sitting on top of it. In the accident, the workers were buried under 30-40 tonnes of mangoes. Police reached the spot and started rescue work with the help of JCB.

8 workers died on the spot

8 laborers died on the spot due to the truck and mangoes being buried under the pile of mangoes. They were identified as Gajjala Durgaiya, Gajjala Lakshmi Devi, Gajjala Ramna, Gajjala Srinu, Radha, Venkat Subbamma, Chittamma and Subba Ratnamma. Munichandra died in a hospital in Rajmpet. The injured have been shifted to the rims of Kadapa for better treatment.

Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy and District In -charge Minister BC Janardhana Reddy expressed grief over the accident. He assured the families of the victims of all possible help. Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed condolences and demanded better treatment for the injured and help for the families of the deceased.
