SCR Authority, CM or Minister will work like CIDCO

The government is going to constitute SCR (State Capital Region) for the development of Raipur, Nawa Raipur and Bhilai-Durg. Authority is being created for this. This authority will act to some extent like CIDCO of Mumbai. It was told that the Chief of the Authority will be CM, or Housing Environment Minister. Secretary level officers will be on the post of CEO. The special thing is that the approval of the authority will be necessary for the big housing and other projects of the three cities.

The cabinet on Friday decided to form the Chhattisgarh Rajdhani Region (State Capital Region). For this, the bill is being introduced in the monsoon session of the assembly. The format of this bill was approved. Provision was also made in the state budget for the formation of SCR. Now preparations are underway for the formation of the authority.

It was reported that the SCR Authority will act to some extent like CIDCO of Navi Mumbai. The Maharashtra government’s organization CIDCO has developed Navi Mumbai. CIDCO has also been working as an advisory agency for Nawa Raipur. According to sources, the services of experts will be taken in the SCR Authority. The permission of the SCR Authority will be required for the implementation of Housing-Industrial Projects of Raipur, Nawa Raipur, and Bhilai-Durg.

The argument behind the formation of SCR is being argued that there are plans to run metro trains in future. By the year 2031, there will be more than 50 lakh people in this area. In such a situation, authority is being formed to ensure the well -organized development of this region. According to departmental sources, the authority will come into existence in the next two months after the bill is passed from the assembly.
