The Excise Department has achieved great success under the campaign against drugs. In Surguja, the departmental flying team has busted drug smuggling from a luxury car. In this action, an accused has been arrested with drugs worth Rs 4 lakh 35 thousand, while the main accused escaped.
According to the information received, the Excise Uddasta team had received information from the informer that white colored Hyundai near Sundarpur warehouse under police station Manipur area, otherwise two persons are supplying to customers in a car in a car. One of them was identified as the main accused Devendra Singh and the other as Gangaram Munda.

On the basis of information, the team raided the spot. Seeing the team, the main accused Devendra Singh escaped from the spot, but his partner Gangaram Munda climbed the police. On searching the car, 2,413 pieces of intoxication injections were recovered, which has been priced at around Rs 4 lakh 35 thousand. At present, the Excise Department has registered a case against the accused and started further investigation. The search for the absconding main accused continues.
