Shah Rukh Khan is one of the Bollywood actors who got married and settled at home before entering Hindi cinema. Shah Rukh made his Bollywood debut with the 1992 film ‘Deewana’. Whereas a year before this, the actor married Gauri Khan. But, do you know why Shahrukh married Gauri? The reason was told by the actor himself in a show.

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are among the most popular couples in Bollywood. Before marriage, both of them spent a good time with each other. Dated each other for about five-six years, after which the couple decided to get married. Shah Rukh had told on the show of famous actor Anupam Kher that what he liked in Gauri and why did he make Gauri his bride?

Why did Shahrukh marry Gauri?

Shah Rukh also shared the story of Anupam Kher’s first meeting with Gauri and told what was his thing on which he had fallen. Anupam Kher questioned the actor, “What was Gauri’s quality that you liked immediately?” On this, Shah Rukh had said, “Physically was very attractive. When I met Gauri for the first time, she was 14 years old and I was 18 years old. I was very shy, so I could never talk to any girl.”

After this, Shah Rukh narrated the story of a party where Gauri was dancing. The actor had further said, “Once she was dancing. So I told my friend, I can dance with them. What do you ask? He asked that she will dance with it? She said yes. So I dancing. So I asked her name. She also asked her name and took her telephone number. She was the first girl, with whom I did the dance and took her number. Then I said this is the only girl.

Married in 1991

After this meeting, Shah Rukh and Gauri started talking and meeting. Then in 1991, he gave a new name to his relationship. The couple got married according to both Hindu and Muslim religions. Now both are two sons and a daughter’s parents.
