The film Udaipur files based on the incident of Udaipur are very much discussed these days. The reason is the release of the film, which was constantly being threatened and now the news that has increased the concern of the makers has also come out. The news is coming that the Delhi High Court has put an interim stay on the release of “Udaipur files”. The film was scheduled to release tomorrow i.e. July 11.
Due to the controversial subject of the film, the demand for banning it was intensified. The trailer of this film also includes that controversial statement of Nupur Sharma, due to which he was expelled from the party by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, had filed a petition in Delhi as well as Bombay and Gujarat High Courts to ban the film.
Interim restriction on film release
This petition of Jamiat was heard in the Delhi High Court today. After the hearing, the Delhi High Court has imposed an interim stay on the release of Udaipur files. The court advised the petitioner Jamiat to contact the central government under Section 6 of the concerned Act, which gives the Center the right to stop the release of the film.
What did Jamiat say?
The court gave Jamiat 2 days to file an application and directed the government that if the application is presented, it should be decided within a week. Jamiat in his petition has made the party, censor board, Johnny Fire Fox Media Private Limited and X Carps, which are associated with the production and distribution of the film. Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, wrote on X that the film’s trailer also included the controversial statement of Nupur Sharma, which not only spoiled the communal atmosphere across the country, but also the country’s image at the international level and our relations with other countries also had a negative impact.
