Chhattisgarh gets honor of central government, achievement achieved in mineral sector


On behalf of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, the state of Chhattisgarh has been honored at the national level for notable works under the District Mineral Institute Trust (DMF). During the one -day National DMF workshop held at the Scope Convention Center in New Delhi today, Union Minister of Coal and Mines Kishan Reddy honored the Chief Minister’s Secretary and Mineral Secretary P. Dayanand with a citation.

Chhattisgarh was honored with a citation for the DMF audit report in the state DMF portal and the National DMF portal to be fully uploaded. In the workshop, Chhattisgarh’s efforts were presented as a model state. Other states were also advised to simulate data uploading, transparency and ground implementation.

Education, Health, Drinking Water

The Government of Chhattisgarh is doing continuous work for inclusive development in various fields like education, health, drinking water, infrastructure and livelihood in mining affected areas through DMF. So far, 1,01,313 development works have been approved in the state at a cost of Rs 16,506 crore, out of which 70,318 works have been successfully completed.

By adopting a transparent and public interest approach in the implementation of DMF by the state government, the plan and monitoring of the works are being ensured according to local needs in each district. This policy targets not only physical development but also social empowerment.

Who took part

The workshop was attended by Secretary, Mineral Instrument Department P. Dayanand, Director Rajat Bansal along with Balod, Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Korba, Raigad and Dantewada districts and Nodal officers of DMF.
