Animesh’s parents are employed in the police department in Baladaubazar district. Father Amrit Kujur is a DSP in the traffic department, while mother Reena Kujur is also a DSP in the police department. Due to his father’s job, Animesh reached Ambikapur with his family, where he was admitted to Sainik School. Animesh was selected in the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare for various race competitions, where he received a gold medal. Animesh secured fourth position while participating in the National Games held in Guwahati, Assam without training. He then trained him by Reliance Academy, making him consecutive medals in national and international competitions. Amrit Kujur said that he got information about Animesh’s achievement on the phone, and when he came to know that Animesh broke Gurindervir Singh’s record and became the fastest runner of India, he was proud of the son’s achievement.
