Employment generation and mission self -sufficiency, how are people taking advantage of MP government scheme?

The Maghya Pradesh government says that continuous effective initiative is being taken to promote employment generation and self -reliance in the state. According to the announcement of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s industry and employment year, the department is constantly making serious efforts for establishment and employment generation. Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the state, said that through many schemes of the Center and the state, they are being made self-reliant by providing loans, grants and technical assistance to the youth, women and self-help groups.

Minister Kashyap also informed that more than 94 lakh people have been given employment by investing more than Rs 56 thousand crore by 18 lakh registered MSME units in the state. Similarly, more than 54 thousand people have got employment through 5,342 startups, 72 incubators and 2,542 women startups. In the year 2024-25, 10,352 youth were linked to self-employment under the Chief Minister’s Enterprise Revolution Scheme and the Prime Minister Employment Generation Program.

Employment generation is the most powerful medium

Minister Kashyap said that this most powerful medium of employment generation has been made more effective. Priority sectors are being given special incentives through MSME Development Policy 2025, Startup Policy 2025 and Industrial Land allocation Rules 2025. The goal of the startup policy is to provide support to 10 thousand DPIIT recognized startups.

The Regional Industry, Skill and Employment Conclave concluded in Ratlam is an example of this is where more than 2.37 lakh people who have benefited in the state so far in the financial year 2025-26, who have received more than Rs 2400 crore loan through banks/financial institutions, their achievements were displayed. Besides, a loan of more than Rs 3861 crore has been distributed to more than 4 lakh beneficiaries of the state under various self -employment schemes.

Similarly, financial assistance of Rs 269 crore has been provided to 880 MSME industrial units. Many successful stories of these efforts are also inspiring the newcomers.

53 lakh subsidy to Ravi became rice mill owner

Ravi Pathak, a resident of village Girwara in Panna district, started his business called Archana Rice Mill. This has given him a unique identity in the field of paddy processing. Ravi started this business with the help of MSME Promotion Scheme. In this, he invested Rs 133.83 lakh, under the scheme he got assistance of Rs 53.53 lakh. Ravi’s business is going very well due to the benefits of this scheme.

Similarly, Rakesh Gehlot, a resident of Dhanmandi in Dhar district, started a paint and hardware shop and today he is providing financial support to his family. Rakesh said that to start the shop, he took advantage of the Chief Minister’s Enterprise Revolution Scheme of MSME Department from District Trade and Industry Center. In this, he was sanctioned a loan of Rs 25 lakh, so that he got the help in establishing a rosa. Gradually the business gained momentum. Now about Rs 50 lakh per year is getting a turnover from their business.
