Congress targeted BJP government on bridge accident
In Vadodara district of Gujarat today, many vehicles collapsed in the river due to some part of a bridge collapsing on Wednesday morning. While 10 people were killed and many people were injured in this accident. Following the collapse of the four decades of old bridge, the attack on the BJP government of the state has been intensified on this loss of life and property from the opposition parties.
The Congress said in its post on social media platform X that Gambhira Bridge on the Mahisagar river in Vadodara broke from the beach. Many vehicles fell into the river in the accident, due to which some people died and many people were injured. The Congress family expresses deep condolences to the families of the victims. At the same time, God is praying to provide cold health benefits to the injured. This accident is opening up the poll of corruption in the name of ‘Gujarat Model’.

Government did not pay attention to repair: Amit Chavda
Regarding the accident, Gujarat Congress Legislature Party leader Amit Chavda said, “The main bridge connecting Anand and Vadodara districts of Gujarat, Gambhra bridge collapsed this morning. The entire Saurashtra traffic passes through here. We had repeatedly demanded from the government, and people also wrote to them that the condition of the bridge is not good and it was not repaired, but the government did not pay any attention to it.
Vadodara -Gambhira Bridge connecting Anand is not an accident, it is the result of the negligence of the Gujarat government.

Another Congress leader and spokesperson Supriya Srinet also expressed grief over the accident and said that Gambhra Bridge on the Mahisagar river in Vadodara broke from the beach. Earlier, Gujarat Health Minister Rishikesh Patel said that some vehicles fell into the Mahisagar river due to a slab collapse of the Gambhira bridge. The Gambhra bridge situated on the Mahisagar river connects the Central Gujarat and the Saurashtra region of the state.
This bridge was built in 1985. The minister said, “The real cause of the incident will be investigated. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has directed technical experts to reach the spot and investigate the cause of the accident.” There are 23 pillars of the Gambhira bridge, about 900 meters long and connects Vadodara and Anand districts of Gujarat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the accident. The PMO posted on X and said that the loss of loss of a bridge in Vadodara district of Gujarat is very sad. I have condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I wish the injured to get well soon. A grace of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the families of each deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. The injured will be given Rs 50,000.
