Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Brazil for the BRICS Summit. On reaching Brazil, PM Modi was given a grand welcome. PM Modi is on a visit to Brazil on the invitation of President Lewis Eneasio Lula Da Silva. Prime Minister will attend the 17th BRICS summit at Rio de Janeiro, after which he will go on a state trip. This is Prime Minister Modi’s fourth visit to Brazil. PM Modi can also hold several bilateral meetings during the summit. The Prime Minister will go to Brasilia for a state visit to Brazil, where he will hold bilateral discussions with President Lula on broadening the strategic partnership between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, including business, defense, energy, space, technology, agriculture, health and mutual relations between the people.
There is a lot of enthusiasm among the overseas Indians regarding PM Modi’s visit to Brazil. Jyoti Kiran, director of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, said that there is tremendous enthusiasm about the arrival of the Prime Minister. At the same time, Karthik, a member of the Indian Pravasi community, said that I am from Hyderabad and have been living in Brazil for the last 16 years. We are very excited to welcome Prime Minister Modi. Pooja, a member of the overseas Indian community living in Rio de Janeiro, said that I am from Gujarat and have been living in Brazil for the last three years. I am very excited to meet him i.e. PM Modi.

Shreyans Goel, chairman and MD of Shakti Group on Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Brazil, said that the BRICS summit is expected to share bilateral trade and information among the BRICS countries. He said that Brazil is a prominent player of ethanol. In 2005, we first imported ethanol from Brazil to India. But today we are standing at such a point where we will export ethanol from India in the next few years.
